Things I said Alhumdulillah for in May…

Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in May:

  1. Celebrating Eid ul Fitr with the family! Here’s a little photo dump of what we got up to….Spoiler Alert: mainly consists food!
  2. Celebrating Master Z turning 8 years old! How even? Here’s his annual birthday letter I wrote for him on this special occasion.
  3. Watching Sonic 2 with my boys in the cinema!
  4. Having the boys take part in some creative crafts at Squid Studio. Master Z had a go at Acrylic Pouring art whilst Little Z painted and potted a plant that he is loving!
  5. Little Z recovering from a virus that resulted in lots of vomiting and me being attached to the mop and washing machine. It wasn’t pretty but we are now out the other side! phew!
  6. Little Z attending his second school trip of the year to the Dubai Aquarium. He absolutely loved it and was naming all the fishes and sea creatures he saw.
  7. When a campaign payment comes through earlier than expected. Kerching! haha!
  8. Finding the most random recordings taken by the kids on my phone showing off their latest build or one of their toys, with their own sound effects too!
  9. Getting back into the love of reading with my Kindle during the school run when I reach early. Currently reading another of Matt Haig’s books : How to Stop Time and loving it. Shoot across any book recommendations of your own!
  10. Remember the personalised Mozabrick masterpiece that my boys and I created last month? I have great news… Use the code ZEYNA10 for 10% off your order! Here’s their website, if you’d like to know more.
  11. Staying waay past my bed time to attend a wedding with my husband. It was actually lovely to put go OUT- out, dress up and catch up, even if it was tough to get out of bed for the school run the next morning!

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in May last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
