Things I said Alhumdulillah for in June…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in June:
- Working on some amazing Father’s Day orders for @mummyonmymindstore.
- Visiting the doctor for a general appointment to check up on our health, and Alhumdulillah getting back all results pointing to good overall health. Good health truly is everything, and I really don’t think a visit to the doctor should only be made when it gets out of hand, but should be a regular practice to ensure you are looking after your body.
- Finally checking out the first branch of Chaiiwala London in Dubai Hills Mall! Their Halwa Puri was delicious!
- Finding minute long videos on my phone and countless photos taken by my kids about their little lego and clixtiles creations, complete with narration!
- Enjoying a massive tray of Mandi with the family…. need I say more?!
- Outdoor balcony shower for the kids which also in turn washes and cleans the balcony, yay!
- Making travel plans for the summer, praying it all works out because I couldn’t be more excited for it! Also, really looking forward to having my brother visit us in Dubai for the first half of summer!
- Crafting some Thank you cards for the teachers with my boys….a huge thank you to all the teaching staff that help our children bloom! You can check our little video here to see what we made.
- That feeling of contentment when you accomplish tasks that have been on your to-do list for ages, like washing your make up brushes or cleaning the cooking stove! haha!
- Coming home to place with cool AC after doing the scorching school run. Here’s a little funny, actually-not-so-funny video I made dedicated to Dubai summer!
- It’s that time of the year again, with end of year reports and parent teacher meetings, this time for both boys, and the teachers only had great things to say about both. Super proud mummy here!
- Trying my best to get organised for Eid al Adha, getting Eid gifts bought and gift wrapped amongst other things….here’s my full mental checklist, am I forgetting anything?
- New car battery services that deliver to your doorstep when your car battery dies on you!
- Last week of school, ending the academic year of 2021/2022! Bring on the summer holidays.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in June last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
