Alhumdulillah Series

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January…

Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January:

  1. Celebrating Little Z turning 4, Alhumdulillah! Where has the time gone? Here’s a little open letter I wrote for him on his birthday.
  2. Enjoying Dubai Winter with a picnic at Al Qudra lakes. I captured a few special moments in this reel here.
  3. Breakfasts in the balcony! So much more refreshing, and we all got to admire the clouds too! (We don’t normally see a sky full of clouds in Dubai!)
  4. The return of my Al Jazira discount code! You can shop Al Jazira’s range of healthy, delicious and enriched eggs on www.aljazirapoultry.com and get 15% off when using the code BIMUMMY (Free home delivery, no minimum purchase! Yay!) From organic to grass-fed chicken eggs, they have it all!
  5. That concentration face Little Z pulls when he is colouring or busy with another activity.
  6. This blog turning 7 years old! I didn’t write a special post like I did the previous years, but I am really happy with how it is a great space to document our precious family moments.
  7. Finally getting around to editing and publishing my vlog from our recent trip to India. You can watch it, as well as other vlogs and videos on my youtube channel here.
  8. Little Z beginning to write and identify (some times) the letters S, A, T , I and P as he starts his journey learning letter with Jolly Phonics at school!
  9. Completing our 7 day isolation for being close contacts of someone with Covid-19 successfully, without any symptoms. Alhumdulillah. Online learning was possibly the biggest challenge in all that!
  10. Ejoying a sushi take out after ages!!
  11. Having both boys rejoin school for face to face learning! Phew!
  12. Woollen socks from Primark I got absolutely ages ago. I have been living in them for a month, because it’s been truly baltic here in Dubai this winter! I’m not sure I’d be able to survive a winter in UK anymore! haha!

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in January last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
