Alhumdulillah Series

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February…

Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February:

  1. Meeting one my best friends who was visiting from the UK. It was so good to catch up with her, even if it was brief!
  2. Cheering so loudly I almost lost my voice at the very first football match I got to attend, supporting Chelsea FC in the Semi Finals of the FIFA CLub World Cup. See a few snippets here.
  3. Enjoying a day out at Glow Garden and Dinosaur Park to celebrate my brother in law’s birthday.
  4. Kicking off the start of half term holidays with a visit to Legoland for their new 4D Show…the boys had an absolute blast!
  5. Lazy mornings and lie ins during half term holidays! Bliss!
  6. Master Z finally getting to fly his kite on Kite Beach. He was content just standing there, flying the rainbow kite high in the sky.
  7. Sharing another recipe reel, this time making mini quiches. Watch it here. You can shop Al Jazira’s range of healthy, delicious and enriched eggs on www.aljazirapoultry.com and get 15% off when using the code BIMUMMY (Free home delivery, no minimum purchase! Yay!) From organic to grass-fed chicken eggs, they have it all!
  8. Visiting the EXPO with the boys, can’t quite believe it’s going to be over soon and we still have so many pavilions left to visit!
  9. Revamping our living room, even though it was completely unintentional, but I am obsessed but especially so with the “Cosmo” table from West Elm!
  10. Checking out a new mall in town, Dubai Hills Mall, it already has so many of our favourite shops. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be our new go-to mall, especially once temperatures start soaring again.
  11. Ordering some bits and bobs for Ramadan like balloons and calendar fillers, to get the kids excited about the holy month In sha Allah.

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in February last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
