Things I said Alhumdulillah for in September…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in September:
- Seeing the boys thrive in their new schools and making friends.
- Enjoying a family day out in London and visiting Buckingham Palace for a State Rooms tour, followed by afternoon tea in the Buckingham Gardens. It was splendid!
- Getting to drive a lovely 2023 model courtesy car due to a small car accident (Alhumdulillah all well on the health front). I hope I don’t get too used to it though! Ha!
- Attending a family wedding and getting to see the extended family for lots of laughs!
- Seeing the most gorgeous bright sunflowers grow in my parent’s garden. Instantly brings a smile to my face!
- Having my first dentist appointment since returning back to the UK, meaning I am finally registered on the NHS dental system! If you live in the UK, you know how impossible of a task this currently is so feel like I am winning at life by actually managing this! Ha!
- Seeing the most gorgeous full rainbow during golden hour!
- Little Z’s first school trip, which was just a little geographical walk near the school and I got to be on the volunteering parents to accompany him! It was so special seeing him with his new friends at school!
- A lovely afternoon tea with the boys in Lincoln. It’s becoming one of my favourite little day-trip getaway cities thanks to it’s historic beauty.
- Mr Z getting his first salary of a UK based job! Hooray! Haha, well overdue but very much appreciated!
- Gearing up for another life change from the 1st of October which I will hopefully be able to divulge information on in my next month’s gratitude list. 🙈
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in September last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
