Things I said Alhumdulillah for in October…

Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in October:

  1. Finally experiencing EXPO2020 DUBAI, with 3 visits in the first month, two with family and one on my own. I have shared a little reel with tips in the caption here and you can also get a sneak peak at some of the pavillions we visited on my Instagram Highlights reel labelled Expo2020.
  2. The Water Feature at Expo…an absolute must visit, for both adults and kids!
  3. Trying out a very unique Desi inspired recipe, Desi Devilled Eggs, using Al Jazira Eggs! Let me know what you think and if you try it out for yourself! Don’t forget, you can shop Al Jazira eggs & poultry on www.aljazirapoultry.com and get 15% off when using the code ✨BIMUMMY✨ (Free home delivery, no minimum purchase! Yay!)
  4. Master Z completing the memorisation of another Surah, MashaAllah. So proud of my little man!
  5. Fresh flowers in my home. Something about them just cheers me right up when looking at a beautiful bouquet.
  6. Keeping the balcony door open to let in the wonderful breeze! #WinterIsComing FINALLY! Yay!
  7. Cheese Manakeesh. Little Z’s current favourite!
  8. Seeing Dubai becoming busy again, with events in full swing and the hustle bustle of people…it’s almost like pre-Covid times! And the low number of cases are a sure relief, though I am still being pretty cautious with safety measures obviously.
  9. Organising my kids’ Lego boxes. It’s a strangely therapeutic to get everything in it’s right place.
  10. Choosing a selection of Indian Mithai (sweets) at the Diwali Mithai kiosk in the supermarket! Give me all the laddoos, jalebi and chocolate barfi please!

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in October last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
