Things I said Alhumdulillah for in July…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in July:
- Exploring London’s Green Street, shopping for desi wear and drinking fresh coconut water. Here’s a little fun reel I created!
- Watching the boys get excited about rain and thunderstorms, even though it’s not very spring/summer like weather, not the kind we are used to anyway! ha!
- Watching the glee in Little Z’s face as a lady bug landed on his hair. Yup, nature and wildlife are still very much fascinating coming from Dubai.
- Creating this fun little reel with my baby brother that showcases our sibling relationship so perfectly!
- Lunching with my friends who I am so happy to reconnect with after such a long time.
- Visiting New Walk museum with my boys and mum. I have so many memories, coming to this museum as a kid, it feels surreal to now be walking the same corridors with my own children, showing them the exhibits.
- Printing out family photos and hanging a few up on the photo frame wall my Dad created in the house.
- Getting daily updates from my baby brother who is currently travelling through LA and San Francisco.
- Back to creating my doodle paintings, oh how I missed them! I will be revealing the latest portraits on my Instagram soon.
- Setting up my Etsy shop for said paintings! Check out MummyOnMyMindArt here!
- Applying for school places for the boys as they will be starting school this September! Eeek!!
- Family gathering to celebrate my cousin sister’s civil ceremony/wedding. It was so lovely to spend time with everyone, and seeing how much the kids enjoy themselves at these family events too.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in July last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
