Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February:
- Lunch and catch-up date with my besties. These lunches truly help me “fill up my cup” so to speak, and I’m so grateful I get to do it with these lovely ladies.
- The husband returning back home safely after his work trips, Alhumdulillah.
- Annual eye checks for the boys and everything looking good and in the 20-20 region so far. I try to keep on top of these more so because we have a history of poor eyesight and the family genes will probably catch up with them sooner or later!
- Eid shopping in Alum Rock, Birmingham and enjoying the desi food!
- Enjoying a lovely half term holiday with the kids at home as they helped me prep for Ramadan. We made Chicken pastries, cheese balls and sausage pastries together.
- Master Z opening his very first savings bank account with HSBC.
- The sight of Daffodils! Spring has sprung!!!
- Attending the boys’ Parent Teacher Meeting at school, where both boys had glowing reports. Little Z’s teacher commented that she wishes she had a class full of Little Zs only, and Master Z’s handwriting skills have been talk of the school!
- That huge milestone thing that I can’t quite discuss yet has been doing phenomenally well and at a much faster speed than I anticipated, so In sha Allah I can’t wait to share all about it soon!
- Applying Henna on my hands and nails after the longest time.
- Finding my Instagram Mojo again and desire to post reels and insta-stories after being off it since October last year!
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in February last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
