Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November:
- Surviving solo parenting days.
- Recovering from a viral which took down all members of our household. Good health is indeed one of the biggest blessings. Being sick also made me do crazy things like making this video. haha!
- That feeling when you yawn and your ear pops, making you realise that it’s been blocked because of the cold you’ve had for the past few days, and now you can finally hear properly again…if you know, you know ok? 😛
- A family visit to the Theatre of Digital Art to watch The Little Prince show.
- Cleaning my home top to bottom with Kyma, to get rid of all the floating bugs that seems to be holding all of Dubai hostage!
- Eating Peru that my mother-in-law brought with her from India. Yum!
- Finally sharing my Youtube vlog for our Trip to Makkah, albeit a few months late! hehe!
- Cheering on my boys during their Sports Days at school, and then again during the UAE National Day celebrations in school. The wide smiles on their faces when they spot you in the crowd is magical.
- Watching a few matches of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, if only the matches were a little earlier because England usually plays at 11 pm, which point I’m knocked out in bed on a school night!
- Dining outdoors because the weather is finally cool enough to do so! Yay, bring on winter days!
- Buying and gift wrapping all of Little Z’s Birthday gifts in advance (it’s on January 3rd) to take advantage of the Black Friday sales. Feeling pretty proud of how organised I am this year because I know I won’t be able to gift wrap successfully whilst the kids are at home during the winter break! ha!
- Also buying a few beauty bits in the November sales, but not going too overboard. Pat on the back for my self control! hehe!
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in November last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
