Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November:
- Getting a new haircut. Something about a great haircut that just makes you want to keep swishing your hair back and forth! ha!
- Experiencing my second live cricket match, this time to support India in the T20 World Cup, with my boys and the most electric ambiance!
- A one night staycation at the gorgeous Fujairah InterContinental hotel with the boys! We enjoyed the pools, movie night under the stars and a falcon show too whilst exploring a few sights of Khorfakkan and driving back home through the rocky mountains.
- Pancakes for breakfast!
- School field trips to EXPO! Little Z went on his very first school trip and absolutely loved it. Both boys came back showing off the stamps they had collected on their Expo passports.
- Our good health. We had a little wave of cold and flu like all other kids in Dubai due to the change in weather but the boys are back to their good health now Alhumdulillah.
- Not giving away ALL of my money during the Black Friday sales! haha! As tempting as it was with offers coming at me from left, right and centre, and though I did make a few purchases, it was in a controlled manner.
- Speaking of which, I did however stock up on lovely winter smelling candles. That’s simply a must!
- Completing a few more Mummy On My Mind Store Doodle Portrait orders! It’s always such a pleasure to hear the positive feedback when clients receive their orders.
- Being able to stroll outside. Did I tell you winters in Dubai are my favourite?
- Experiencing the world’s largest Ferris wheel ride : Ain Dubai! It was truly amazing! More pics here!
- Feeding a petting a stray kitten. The boys would love a pet cat, but I don’t think we are quite ready for one just yet, In sha Allah in the future.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in November last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
