Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January 2018…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January:
- The birth of my darling second son, Little Z. The labour and delivery itself could not have been better, Alhumdulillah. (Read my Birth Story here.)
- The unrelenting support of my husband, through out the tears and offloading of emotions. He is the most patient man on this planet!
- Watching Master Z love his baby brother so wholeheartedly. He gives Little Z a kiss as soon as he wakes up in the morning and from his afternoon nap, as well as every time he passes him by.
- The love and good wishes for the new addition from family, friends and readers alike. It has been so overwhelming.
- For getting the latch right and finding breastfeeding SO much easier this time round, though it is still painful at the beginning.
- For how grown up Master Z seems. Both physically and mentally. Like I’m talking GIGANTIC in relation to Little Z.
- For capturing the precious moments of Little Z through a newborn photograph shoot by Pink Pepper Photography.
- For celebrating completing 3 years of blogging. Here’s to many many more.
- Resisting the urge to eat those little baby hands and feet! hehe!
- For when both boys nap together, so I can sneak in a nap too! I MISS YOU SLEEP!
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in January last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below!
