Things I said Alhumdulillah for in September 2018…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in September:
- September began with much heart ache as Master Z began school for the first time. There were tears, both from him and I, but after about two weeks, he finally settled in to his new routine. Now those tears have been replaced with smiles and hugs as he walks into his classroom all by himself, and I couldn’t be more proud.
- Little Z turning 8 months! How is he 8 months ALREADY?! He has two little teeth (and currently sprouting more by the looks of it), he is crawling and standing up with support and has discovered speech, yapping away in gibberish.
- The good news of my cousin’s engagement. Happy days! It’s been way too long since I’ve attended a family wedding, and I can’t wait for that time to come!
- Watching my second cricket match live, and the first one ever with both my kids in tow! The Asia Cup match had an electric ambiance, and we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, much to my surprise!
- My husband and for his abilities to parent both our boys. To take care of them. To love them. To make them laugh. To make them smile. To give me a break when I need it most.
- Gaining confidence in driving solo. I am secretly really enjoying doing the school run in my car, and love that I am able to drop off Master Z and be the one to pick him up from school too. Hope this novelty doesn’t run off anytime soon!
- Sugar coated Donuts. They are life.
- Visiting some amazing family friendly attractions across the UAE thanks to Family Pass UAE. We have made some incredible memories and the smiles in the photos speak for themselves. I have a discount code for those interested in enjoying the same, so make sure to check out the blog post for more details!
- Being able to enjoy the lovely early morning breeze. Winter is coming y’all!!
- My best friend N’s wedding! I so wish I could be there, but I wish her and her husband all the very best all the same. May you both be blessed with a long happy marriage filled with love and laughter In sha Allah.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in September last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below!
