Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November 2018…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November:
- Receiving the most beautiful personalised cuff links, with hand prints of both our boys for Daddy to wear, from Smallprint Dubai! I absolutely love the concept of this business, and makes for great keepsake gifts. To know more, read my interview with Emma here.
- Getting creative with Master Z, whether it be making camels out of empty bottles or painting an acrylic canvas.
- Dubai Winter! Hello breeze! Hellow beach days! Hello park days! Also, it’s the first time Little Z is experiencing grass in the parks, and it’s quite hilarious to watch him figure it out.
- Seeing Burj Khalifa in all it’s glory. That sight just never gets old.
- Trip to Jebel Jais. It’s funny how being in middle of a vast natural landscape puts your minuscule problems into perspective and makes you appreciate everything a lot more.
- Celebrating 10 years of being together with my husband! Alhumdulillah x infinity.
- Stormy nights, which cause school to be closed the next day! hehe!
- The sound of rain.
- Little Z’s top tooth finally making an appearance. Though the teething stage is challenging to say the least, it’s good to finally have another tooth!
- Good health. Little Z had an allergic reaction and we had to whisk him off to the hospital to find out what it was. Alhumdulillah, an injection, some medicine and a bottle of medical lotion later, he was almost back to normal.
- Party planning. Currently trying to plan Little Z’s first birthday party and I love that I am able to design invites and get creative with the decor!
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in November last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below!
