Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in March:

2. The boys and I had the best time checking out the brand new rides at Aquaventure Dubai, in Atlantis. I love that the boys are now at an age where I can actually have a breather, and Master Z is brave enough to be trying out rides on their own too! Woohoo!
3. Recieving so many lovely compliments on my modest swimwear. It is from @mayaswimwear, which is an amazing local female led business in Dubai, so please do check them out!
4. My parents sending us videos of daffodils, swans in the lakes and sheep in fields. I am totally living vicariously through them, and counting down the days till we can travel out to the UK again In sha Allah!
5. Getting to experience the Museum of the Moon installation at OliOli. It was truly mesmerising and beautiful to be able to see one of Allah’s glorious creations up close and personal, through the use of technology.
6. Every time I hear great feedback from my clients after they recieve their @mummyonmymindstore Doodle Portraits, I am overjoyed! Painting is really my happy place, and I love that I get to share that with my clients.
7. Enjoying the most blissful 60 minutes thanks to Burj Plaza who kindly gifted me a spa day in celebration of International Women’s Day. It was surreal to be swimming with my boys under the shade of the tallest tower in the world, and an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever.
8. Creating my first reel as it has been finally introduced in the UAE! Woohoo! Watch it here.
9. Mr Z revamping our living room with a little DIY project using gold paint. I am kinda obsessed! What do you think?
10. Receiving a glowing report from Master Z’s teacher on his Term 2 performance. That boy makes me so proud.
11. End of Term 2 holidays! Lie ins, lazy mornings, chill time with my boys….aaah pure bliss and very much needed!
12. Testing out the Muslim Kid’s app called Miraj Stories with my 6 and 3 year old boys, and loving it! 13. Our health. I have heard news of some dear individuals in my life who are suffering health issues, so please do say a little prayer for them. May Allah grant them complete shifa soon In sha Allah.
14. The British Summer time starting which means the time difference between the UK and Dubai is now back to 3 hours instead of 4! Yay!
