Things I said Alhumdulillah for in June…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in June:
1. Moving into our new home on the other side of Dubai. It’s been quite an adventure but our hearts are filled with so much joy and happiness!
2. Receiving numerous Father’s Day orders for @mummyonmymindstore Portrait Doodles! Hearing the positive feedback makes all the hard work worth while!
3. For my husband’s great cooking skills, and generally being so hands on with helping me out.
4. Going to IKEA with the kids, after months of being in lock down at home. My boys loved running free, and we took all the necessary precautions to make sure we were all safe.
5. Having the @mummyonmymindstore advert run on tv and elevator screens in JBR, Palm Dubai and Dubai Marina! Thanks to Natasha of TishTashPR (Champion behind SMERiseCollective) and ElevisionMedia for making it happen!
6. Surviving distance learning! Kudos to the teachers for all their efforts and support!
7. Furniture shopping! Oh the joy it brings me!
8. Cuddles from my boys. Sometimes it seems I’m the one more in need of their tight hugs, rather than them.
9. Making Master Z’s Graduation Hat for his FS2 virtual Graduation ceremony. Here’s the DIY tutorial I made for it! I am so proud of how far he has come in just one year. That boy fills my heart with so much love.
10. Master Z’s virtual graduation ceremony. So glad that my own parents and baby bro were able to join the live zoom session from the comfort of their home to witness it.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in June last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
