Things I said Alhumdulillah for in July…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in July:
1. Master Z completing FS2. What a year it has been, and my little boy has grown up so much in the space of a few months. Also, what a huge relief to finally be done with Distance Learning! Let the summer holidays begin!
2. Learning so much from various webinars I have been attending from the comfort of my own home. Also, it’s nice that you can be in your PJs whilst attending a virtual event!
3. Celebrating two years since I launched Mummy On My Mind Store. I just love creating the doodle portraits and watching my customers’ reactions when they receive it!
4. Creating pieces of art work for our new home. It’s been a family project, and though it’s not the smoothest process, the memories we have made along the way will be treasured forever. You can see it here and here.
5. Celebrating my nephew’s 1st birthday with a small family get together at home to cut the cake.
6. Finally having our water filter installed! Yay!
7. Making vegetable pickle thanks to my mum’s recipe, and it bringing back so many nostalgic memories of my grandparents.
8. Having a go at Yoga….I haven’t been so consistent but I really want to get into it.
9. Potty training Little Z! The time has come…it’s a slow process but I think we have cracked it!
10. Fasting on the day of Arafat and celebrating Eid ul Adha with the family. I also loved preparing lamingtons and biscuits for Eid, with my two little helpers of course.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in July last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
