Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January:
- Bringing in the Year 2024 with family time and watching the London fireworks on the TV.
- Little Z turning 6, Alhumdulillah! As always, I have written an open birthday letter on his birthday to look back at the amazing year he has had.
- Sushi and Gyoza date with my boys in town.
- Buying a new car, but not just any car…our very own beautifully blue coloured Tesla. The boys wave hi and bye to the car every day on their way to and back from school, it’s the cutest. The features are super amazing, though the lack of buttons is going to need some time getting used to.
- Having Dubai style Mandi for lunch! Oh how we missed eating Mandi!
- 9 years of having this blog! Although, I have taken a step back from social media (I am not sure yet for how long or whether it’s permanent even!), I have carried on posting on this blog at least once a month and hope to carry on for a long time to come.
- Little Z loosing his first baby tooth!
- Frosty mornings. Brrrrrrrr.
- A big huge milestone in the process of being achieved…In sha Allah praying it bears fruit in the coming months but beyond excited for it!
- Our health and for Mr Z’s taking care of us for the week we were overcome with fever and weakness. It was horrid, and myself and the boys spent most of the time in bed, so feeling very much thankful to be back in good health and to have the strength to get out of bed each day.
- Trip to IKEA to have a mooch around and eat IKEA food, even if it’s just the vegetarian options rather than Shawarma plate like we used to eat in Dubai!
- Seeing Little Z’s hilarious selfies in my camera roll.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in January last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
