Things I said Alhumdulillah for in December 2018…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in December:
- Celebrating UAE’s 47th National Day. Having come to reside in this country in 2013, I can without a doubt say that it has captured my heart, and I’ve written a whole post about it too. Read it here.
- Celebrating 11 months of Little Z! Eeek! This means party preps for his 1st birthday party are also in full swing. I went down the “Pinterest Mum” route, just as I did with my first born on his 1st birthday, and I am so excited to see how it all turns out!
- Watching Little Z take one or two steps as he attempts to walk before tumbling down and erupting into laughter. Aaah, he’s so close!
- Master Z successfully completing his first term at school in FS1, and I couldn’t be a more proud mama! His teacher only had praises for him during his parent-teacher meeting, and the sight of him writing letters and numbers still catches me by surprise sometimes.
- Family Days Out, especially when it’s to celebrate end of the school term with a trip to our favourite: Legoland, of course!
- Eating delicious streetfood at Global Village. The main reason I visit!
- Celebrating the Hubster’s birthday! God, I love that man and I thank Allah every day for having him in my life!
- Watching Vlogmas and getting inspired to create video content myself.
- Jetting off to Georgia for our first overseas trip as a family of four! Eeek!
- Seeing the boys reactions to experiencing snow for the first time! Also, Snow – subhanAllah, what a wonder and miracle it truly is, as it covers everything underneath it like a blanket!
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in December last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below
