Things I said Alhumdulillah for in April 2019…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in April:
- Spending Spring Break in Al Ain at the beautiful Hili Rayhaan by Rotana. We enjoyed family time, swimming and watching Hippos swim at the Al Ain Zoo.
- Eating Churros at Global Village before it closes for the season. Till next year!
- Thunderstorms! In April! SubhanAllah, what a sight. And a bonus when Master Z’s school is shut the next day too due to heavy rainfall!
- Being able to speak to my grandparents. Even if it is on the phone with over thousands of miles in between us. Being able to show them my children, even if it is through photos over WhatsApp.
- Discovering Careem! yes, I know I know…I’m late to this famous Dubai trend, but seriously, that app is genius! #totallynotsponsored btw, just a happy customer! haha!
- Doing a Family Photoshoot in the Desert. This one has been on my Dubai Bucket List, and I am so glad we got to do it this month. The photos and memories will be treasured forever.
- Watching Little Z squirm and laugh whilst touching pizza dough. Priceless.
- Celebrating with the family on the occasion of my bro-in-law getting a swanky new car!
- Hearing Master Z begin to read three letter words on his own! Aaah #proudmama moment!
- Mr Z shaving off Little Z’s hair, and doing a perfect job of it too! He does look ten times more naughty now though…
- Continuing Ramadan preparations! I can’t wait to decorate the house this weekend!
- Knowing that I am not alone as I slowly prepare myself to wean off Little Z…I have written about my emotions here.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in April last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
