Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February 2018…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February:
- Finally getting out and about with my little one. As nice as it was to be at home for a month postpartum, learning Little Z’s cues, this month I finally venture outside with both boys in tow and it felt good! Really good!
- Visiting the Dubai Safari with family. It turned out to be a great family fun day, thanks to the beautiful weather, and Master Z really enjoyed seeing all the animals. Also, he preferred the half-submerged-in-water Hippos as opposed to the big cats!
- Midnight hugs with the husband, as we look on to both our sleeping boys, whilst we are both sleep deprived, tired, but thankful nonetheless.
- Meeting with friends for an outdoor breakfast, and enjoying the last of the winter breeze before Spring replaces it with heat, heat, and more heat!
- Little Z’s first smiles! They are so incredibly rewarding and so frequent now.
- Creating this month’s Pretty Paper Studio Crafts project and feeling pretty creative.
- Gaining confidence in breastfeeding Little Z in public, and managing to go out with both my boys on my own! Eek!
- Little Z’s first Saturday Brunch, courtesy of Address Dubai Marina – Mazina Restaurant.
- Ranting to friends. Nothing like it.
- Planning an upcoming party and having the venue of my dreams confirmed for booking! Woohoo!
- Receiving the hand cast frame from First Impression Dubai of Master Z and Little Z, which I am sure will be treasured forever.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in February last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below!
