Palmer’s Hair Masks – Review…
Hair Masks. I used to loathe them. As a Hijabi, it is easy to neglect the hair as they are not a feature of yours that is permanently on show. However, I do still take pride in my tresses, and need them to be on top form when they are not wrapped under a beanie or tight scarf. Having your hair matted to your scalp and not receive any sunlight when you are out and about means you need to make extra efforts for hair care, and Palmer’s Deep Conditioning Hair Masks are just the thing.
I was given two of Palmer’s Deep Conditioning Hair Masks to try out: Olive Oil and Coconut Oil. The Coconut Oil is the one I have already tried before, but it was my first time using the Olive Oil hair mask, so that’s the one I grabbed first to try.
Palmer’s Olive Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask
Before I go into any details about their ingredients and benefits, let me tell you that one sachet carries a LOT of product. In fact, just one sachet can take you through 1-3 uses, depending on the length of your hair.
The Olive Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask contains extra virgin olive oil that gives the hair a shiny finish, whilst keeping the hair and scalp moisturised and frizz free. This deep repair treatment is fortified with exclusive an Botanical Scalp Complex blend to provide essential vitamins and minerals to dry, damaged hair, penetrate deep to restore moisture and shine and strengthen weak brittle hair, helping it grow longer and minimizing breakage while leaving hair silky and healthy.
Although the directions ask for this conditioner to be used after shampooing your hair by leaving it in for 2-3 minutes before rinsing it off, I decided to apply it generously in my hair before I took a shower, leaving it on for about 20-25 minutes. You can leave it on throughout the night for a more intensive treatment too. After rinsing the product away, my hair felt so incredibly soft to touch (so much that I pretty much spent the rest of the day caressing my hair) and with a lovely faint smell too that I actually liked. (I wasn’t a huge fan of the coconut smell when I used the other pack previously, but this one smells delicious.) Also, my hair was so smooth, that combing out my knots after the shower was really easy and quick.
If you need a hassle free at-home treatment to take care of your tresses, I would highly recommend you use this Hair Mask. It truly is a miracle worker.
Tip: Use a scalp massager tool to really work the product into your roots. This will gently help with blood circulation to promote new hair growth as well as feeling incredibly relaxing. A mini at-home spa treatment, if you will!
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask
Having already used the Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask before, I already knew of it’s deeply nourishing properties that is perfect for colour treated hair. This mask provides to strengthen and repair dry, damaged hair thanks to ingredients like natural Coconut Oil, Tahitian Monoi Oil, Vitamin E, Keratin Protein, Silk Proteins and Coconut Milk.
As with the other mask, you can use this 2-3 times a week before or after shampooing your hair, or even leave it through out the night for an intensive treatment. The luxurious creamy consistency hardens as it dries on your hair, and left my hair feeling as smooth as the Olive Oil Mask. My only complaint with this is the Coconut Scent that you are left with, as it is not something I prefer as opposed to the Olive Oil hair mask scent that I did not mind at all.
As with most of the Palmer’s products, I love that they contain No Sulfates, No Parabens, No Pthalates, No Mineral Oil and No Gluten. So basically, none of the nasty stuff! If your hair is in need of some TLC, give these hair masks a go!
Where can you buy these Palmer’s hair masks from?
The hair masks are available in Carrefour, for only AED 12 per sachet!
