Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Star Products – Review…
This month I want to introduce you to two of Palmer’s star products, containing their famous trademark Cocoa Butter Formula.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturiser
The original Palmer’s moisturiser and one of their star products! A unique solid formula that contains concentrated Cocoa Butter along with Vitamin E to soften, smooth and relieve rough, dry skin. It helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and scars and tones skin. It is ideal for deep moisturisation, including overnight treatments and widely recommended for stretch marks during and after pregnancy.
This moisturiser is a great alternative to the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Tummy Butter which I have been using religiously over the past few months of pregnancy as part of my overnight treatment on my bump. This hard moisturiser melts in your warm fingertips, turning into the perfect consistency to be massaged into the skin. Because the formula is greasy, I prefer using it during the night time and allowing my skin to absorb its properties whilst my body recuperates. If you are looking for an intensive treatment to your dry skin, I would highly recommend you use this product regularly.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Oil
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturising Body Oil, enriched with Vitamin E, is a fast absorbing, lightly scented body oil that helps moisturise and soothe rough, dry skin without greasiness.
Since I have quite enough Palmer’s products to lather on myself during the day and night, I have been using this Body Oil during my rare indulgent baths, poured directly inside the water to ensure my skin doesn’t dry out. You can also apply this oil before or after your shower. The formula works great as a Massage Oil too, again as part of your night time routine. I love the flip top cap, making it incredibly easy to apply with slippery fingers!
Key Ingredients
Both of these star products feature the same key ingredients, which are;
Cocoa Butter: A rich natural moisturiser that leaves skin soft and silky, transforming even the roughest, driest areas into buttery soft skin.
Vitamin E: A powerful antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and imperfections on the skin, giving a more even and toned appearance.
Palmer’s Gives Back
One of the reasons Palmer’s is my favourite brands is their philanthropic ideals. One such benevolent action is their support of “Happy Baby Carriers”, an organisation in Uganda consisting of a small workforce of local women who sew ergonomic baby carriers.
Women in Africa are often forced to return to work shortly after delivering their baby, in order to support their family. This leads to malnutrition, since the mother has gone for work and the baby is being looked after by a brother or sister. However, with a baby carrier, the mother can carry her baby with her at all times, even to work, putting an end to malnutrition since it enables the mother to breastfeed her baby when needed. Palmer’s buy these baby carriers from “Happy Baby Carriers” and distributes them to women who work in cocoa plantations in Ghana, where Palmer’s source their cocoa butter from.
The Palmer’s UAE team is travelling to Ghana for the next few days to visit the women who work in these cocoa plantations. Follow their journey over on Instagram stories now to get regular updates and an insider look into their work.
