Palmer’s Body Lotions: Take your pick – Review…
Almost as if they read my mind, Palmer’s very kindly provided me with handbag samples of their four different body lotions just in time for my family trip to India. The four body lotion formulas are Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil and Cocoa Butter. For the past two week, these four miracles in a bottle have followed me everywhere around India as I tested them out to see which one I liked best.
Winter in India is almost identical to that in Dubai, being that it is chilly in the early morning and late evenings, but still very much hot during the day time. This meant that my skin was exposed to lots of sun, heat and since I was in India, quite a lot of pollution too. I am pretty sure if I didn’t have these lotions in my hand’s reach at all times, I would be quite worse for wear on my return back to Dubai.
Before I tell you which of the four bottles were empty on my return, let me fill you in on the unique properties of each lotion so you can decide which is best for your skin.
Palmer’s Four Body Lotion Formulas
Raw Shea Butter Formula:
Sustainably sourced in Africa, the rich, super nourishing ingredient leaves skin softer and more radiant. The lotion combines Shea Butter with Marula, Oatmeal, Grapeseed Oil and Vitamin E to calm irritation and moisturise. This formula also contains high levels of unsaponifiable, antioxidant-rich emollients that help reverse skin dehydration.
Cocoa Butter Formula:
With this rich luxurious formula, providing deep hydration, this velvety soft lotion absorbs quickly and creates a protective barrier that locks in moisture. The lotion effectively heals and softens, leaving skin smooth and supple, and also contains Vitamin E.
Coconut Oil Formula:
Containing ethically and sustainably produced Coconut Oil and Tahitian Monoi Oil, infused with Tiare flower petals, this lotions delivers deep moisturisation. This body lotion also contains high levels of naturally occurring fatty acids and proteins that are essential in keeping skin radiant and healthy looking.
Olive Oil Formula:
Formulated with antioxidant-rich Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Vitamin E, this lotion helps maintain skin’s youthful appearance and leaves the skin feeling silky and soft. The unique anti-ageing peptide complex helps increase skin’s firmness and elasticity. This lotion is also delicately scented with a light, fresh fragrance.
Now you know which one would best suit your needs depending on the unique properties that create each of the four formulas.
Which of the four formulas is My Pick?
Having tested out each of them during the two weeks I was in India, I returned back with one completely empty bottle which is the clear winner for me. The Olive Oil Formula. I was most intrigued to try out the Olive Oil Formula first from all the four because it was the only formula I had not tried out. After using the other lotions, I kept coming back to this one, mainly because of the fresh and almost citrusy scent that I fell in love with.
When I felt my hands getting dry, I normally reached out for the Shea Butter Formula because it was enriched with moisture and helped keep my hands feeling soft, especially during the train journeys and rickshaw travels.
Both the Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil Formula were equally preferred as soon as I came out of my morning showers, and now that I am back in Dubai, I am still using them. Fair warning though, the Coconut Oil Formula will make your mouth water. As soon as I lather it on, it makes me smell like a Bounty Chocolate Bar, and that is something as a chocolate lover I have no complaints about!
So the clear winner for me has to be the Olive Oil Formula Lotion, closely followed by the Shea Butter Formula Lotion. Which one is it for YOU?
