OOTD for a Toddler flying for the first time…

Saturday morning myself, Mr Z and Baby Z set off on our long journey from Dubai to England, for our month long vacation. There was a mixture of excitement and nerves, as was to be expected, since it was Baby Z’s first ever flight of his lifetime! Eeek! Below I share with you what we wore for the 7 hour long plane journey!

Comfort was key for our long travel. I wanted to ensure that we made it as easy for ourselves as possible, and this meant carrying a lovely leather rucksack so I could be hands free and carry toddler along if he got stroppy. I paired this with my comfiest mummy jeans, a patterned top and neutral scarf. Of course I wore my comfy blue trainers too since no mother has time to be click clacking through the airport with heels when she has a toddler. Long gone are those heel wearing days!

Adornments included my gold rings, gold bangles (given to me by my mother and grandmother) and my trustee watch. My henna was applied by myself on Thursday night once Baby Z was sound asleep, all my packing was complete and I had some time to spare!

Baby Z was dressed similarly from top to toe in pure comfort, starting with his loose tracksuits, a statement shirt along with a pair of trainers. We had packed for him a woolen jumper for when we were inside the plane. In my rucksack, I also carried a change of clothes for when we landed in UK, which included jeans, a smart striped shirt, and a lovely warm jacket (that I secretly wished belonged to me), but of course in the rush of travel and being reunited with my parents, I forgot to take outfit photos after we landed. Oops!

Watch out for more posts detailing Baby Z’s first flight experience as well as snippets of my time here in England, though as you can imagine every day is jam packed with family fun, so you may have to bare with me for posting at a lower frequency than normal!

What is your flight dress code? Any tips for me for my return journey? Feel free to add them in the comments section below! Thank you!
