Little Z’s Newborn photo shoot by Pink Pepper Photography – Review…
Going through motherhood for the second time, I know too well how quickly the newborn phase passes you by. Before you know it, your little gurgling burping baby has turned into a running talking individual. Therefore, for Little Z, I wanted to make sure to capture these precious initial moments through a newborn photo shoot, and that’s where Pink Pepper Photography came in, with their talented crew and van full of props. The best thing? The photo shoot takes place in the comfort of your own home!
Pink Pepper Photography offers a “Stork Programme”, allowing you to capture precious images from the baby bump days, to the birth of your little one and the milestone 1st birthday. The “Stork Capture” is the newborn photo shoot which includes a 2 hour session with the newborn being photographed, in the comfort of your own home, by a professional newborn photographer. You will be given 30 digital images on a USB at the end of it, within this package.
Prior to the shoot, I was given a call by the photographer herself – May, who gave me a brief of what will happen and how. She also advised me to keep him awake before the shoot and then feed him whilst they set up the props so that he falls asleep during the shoot.
The day came, and as promised May arrived, assisted by Andrea, just on time at 10 am. I fed Little Z whilst they turned my living room into a photo studio, putting in place the contents of a van full of photography equipment as well as blankets and props. It was the little things that gave me confidence and ensured the entire experience was smooth, such as how both May and Andrea used a hand sanitiser before holding Little Z, as well as having a portable heater pointing towards him during the shoot.
May and Andrea got to work, each of them handling Little Z with such care. Little Z did a great job too, and was pretty cooperative. He would feed in between background changes and I loved that the photographers even put some White Noise on to help him drift back to sleep.
The tricky part was getting Master Z to take photos with his baby brother. I wanted a couple of shots of just the two brothers, but Master Z had to bribed and coaxed into it. May and Andrea were ever so patient and managed to miraculously get the shots I wanted, so it all payed off in the end.
I must commend May and Andrea for their patience and professionalism. Conducting a newborn photo shoot requires the utmost level of patience and they also didn’t mind when Little Z did a wee on one of the blankets whilst being photographed. I suppose they were used to this by now though! (Below are a couple of Behind The Scenes shots!)
I am so happy with the results and will cherish the photos dearly. Hopefully, it will remind me of Little Z’s innocence and the love I have for him when he turns into a threenager and is having tantrums about being asked to put his socks on!
I would highly recommend Pink Pepper Photography, whether you are looking to capture the magic of pregnancy, newborn, birthdays or simply candid family moments. Because as we all know, these little ones grow up far too quickly! Thank you Pink Pepper Photography for capturing Little Z so beautifully.
