On Friday morning, I was kindly invited by House of Comms for a family breakfast at Crumble Cafe, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. It was a lovely way to meet new people whilst the little ones ran wild in the play area. Of course, the delicious food just made it even better!

My first impressions as I walked in were all good as I loved the crisp and clean look that the cafe achieved. I also loved all the food related art work and typography they had on show. The staff were very welcoming and prompt with their service. Also, how cute does the welcome drink look in the photograph below? My husband and I ordered orange juices, much of which was glugged down by Baby Z!

The best thing about this cafe is of course the children’s play area on the top floor. As the parents trawled through the menu, the little ones had a chance to mingle and get creative in the play area. There was something for everyone, and I absolutely adored the play area. From soft toys to colouring books and chalkboards to puzzles, it was hard not to get excited, even as an adult! Baby Z of course loved driving the toy cars as well as doodling on the chalk board. On many occasions, I saw parents (including myself) enjoying the play area just as much as the toddlers!

The food. Oh my, where do I begin? The above photographs speak for themselves, but I will add a few words because I simply must. My husband ordered an Earl Grey tea, chocolate croissant and the Feta Omelet, whilst I ordered the Smashed Avocado, a dish I was told was very much raved about. After devouring my smashed avocado, I assure you that it was indeed something to rave about. I must also add how impressed I was with the portion sizes and attention to detail.

It was such a pleasure to meet so many new people as we chatted over a yummy breakfast, and the best part of it was that the little ones were well entertained too. I got the chance to finally meet the lovely mummy blogger Tani (as pictured above) who blogs over at Our Big Dubai Adventure and has the cutest little family! It was also a pleasure to meet the cafe owner Moustafa, and his lovely little family, who very kindly gave us a few gingerbread goodies to take home with us.
