Things I said Alhumdulillah for in September…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in September:
- Getting back into our normal school routine. Weekdays are back to being hectic but atleast there is structure and routine.
- Treating the boys with a visit to OliOli on completing their first week of school successfully!
- Collaborating with some amazing brands that are close to my heart and working tirelessly behind the scenes to create good content.
- Guest writing for Family Travel in the Middle East and sharing my tips on Performing Umrah with Kids.
- Booking myself in for a facial after a long summer and feeling more confident in my skin.
- Finally being able to visit Madame Tussauds in Dubai, after having been to the London one many years ago. The kids had so much fun, especially as it was quite an interactive experience. Watch here all the fun we got up to.
- Braving an outdoor walk even if we ended up sweating thanks to the high levels of humidity.
- Watching Little Z as he continues his Quran journey by learning Arabic alphabets. The Quran Era app has been so useful for this. You can find my review here and sign up to their subscription here.
- Creating a little recipe video with none other than a household staple of ours: Nando’s! Watch it here.
- Mask mandates easing after 2 and a half years of covid restrictions! Kids no longer need to wear masks in school, and it’s simply amazing news! Also, great to finally see what their teachers look like! Need to start stocking up on my lipsticks now too….
- Attending Master Z’s class assembly in school. Super proud mummy moment watching my usually very shy boy speak with confidence and delivering his lines beautifully.
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in September last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
