Things I said Alhumdulillah for in December…
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in December:
- Celebrating UAE’s 50th National Day with a trip to Expo Dubai and beach picnics, followed by watching the fireworks display! I am so extremely thankful to be living in such a safe country, full of opportunities and inspiration!
- Last day of Term 1 and successful Parent Teacher Meetings for both my boys. I’m so proud of them both!
- Hearing about the new weekends being introduced in the UAE from January onwards, where everyone will be getting 2.5 day weekends, with the new week starting from Monday.
- Learning Punch Needle Embroidery with Master Z. It was so much fun, here’s a little reel I created to show what we made!
- Much awaited play date with a friend where the kids had such a great time playing together.
- Master Z’s improving speed as we learn the Qaida using the Safar publication text books.
- Stepping into a Emirates plane….it’s been a realllyyyy looong time coming!
- Little Z’s first trip to India and spending time with my husband’s side of the family.
- Returning to stay in Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai hotel and enjoying the view of the Gateway of India from our room window.
- Eating allllll the delicious Indian food and snacks such as sev puri, taar gilli, singota, vada pau and more!
- Getting our negative test results on the countless PCR tests during our travel to India and back to Dubai.
- Watching the beautiful rain storm and dark cloudy sky on the last day of 2021!
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in December last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
