Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February 2019…
Ahumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in February:
- Rainy days! Can you believe it is February and still raining? I am loving it, especially the moody dark days that bring a wave of nostalgia with it of living back in the UK.
- Watching the joy on Master Z’s face as he wins tickets from an arcade game! So much fun!
- Unplanned holidays from school due to the Papal visit, meaning I can get a lie in! Woohoo!
- Being kindly invited to the launch of Lego’s first office in the GCC Region! What an honour, but also it’s a dream office being surrounded with so much lego to play with.
- Attending Master Z’s first ever sports day, and even though it didn’t go exactly as planned, all’s well that ends well! Full story here.
- Being reunited with one of my best friends who was visiting Dubai, and catching up over dinner. These are the girls that I can pick up exactly where we left off, no matter how much time has passed since we met last.
- When Little Z has a monster nap and allows you to enjoy a meal in peace. I live for those moments!
- Mr Z winning “The Best Dressed Man” at the UAE Long Show Jumping event. Proud wife moment!
- Back at it with another craft using Pretty Paper Studio supplies: this time Master Z and I created a beautiful butterfly pop up card. Have a look here.
- Retail Therapy, but not the kind where you go out to buy clothes. The kind where you come home with a huge stationary haul! Hehe! Currently planning activities and making a Ramadan Calendar for Master Z, and I am so excited to share it with you soon!
These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in February last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
